Tyla recently announced the cancellation of her next ten scheduled shows due to health reasons.
“It saddens me to let you know I will no longer be able to perform over the next 10 days… I am currently doing physical therapy and easing back into doing shows consistently,” she shared.
Her inability to do shows will affect the following festivals: Rosklide, Palmesus, Open’er, Saga, and Montreux Jazz.
She assured her supporters that she is doing everything she can to “get on as many stages while simultaneously recovering fully.”
Furthermore, she expressed gratitude to her fans for their patience and understanding and her excitement to see them soon.
This announcement comes after her show-stealing performance at the recent BET Awards where she also walked away with the Best New Artist and Best International Act accolades. Billboard ranked Tyla’s performances as the third best of the whole show.
In March, the Grammy-winning superstar cancelled her Coachella performance and World Tour after an undisclosed injury.
Hopefully, when she recovers, she’ll be blessing South Africa with a performance.
