South African Xhosa rapper, Lookatups has unveiled the official art cover for his upcoming album, titled 'Son of Joy,' a project deeply inspired by the profound grief he experienced after the loss of his father.
In this time of emotional turmoil, he found solace in sharing his feelings and thoughts with two close friends Orish and Eziah who are also musicians.
The album artwork features a depiction of Lookatups as a young child, sitting on his father's lap.
In a statement, Lookatups shared his personal journey of navigating through the intricate and often overwhelming emotions that accompany the grieving process.
“A mixture of pain, fear, love and hope,” he shared.
