Kwesta celebrates 16 years in the game with a live tour and concert called The 16th Bar Legacy Tour. Kwesta has come a long way since starting his journey in high school after realising his potential and the impact of his words. He’d go on to, in 2009, drop The Quest, a mixtape hosted by C-Live when he started working with Buttabing.
16 years later, the star has gone to sell platinum records and collaborate with international rap giants utilizing his significant style of writing and his unique ability to tell stories.
To celebrate his legacy and his impact on popular culture, the ‘Spirit’ hitmaker is launching a tour titled ‘The 16th Bar Legacy Tour’. The tour will kick off with 15 shows in and around Gauteng, that will ultimately build up to the 16th final show, where the hitmaker will be joined by star-studded artists on his junket.
Each show on this legacy tour will be conceptualised and curated to represent each year Kwesta has celebrated in the game.
Paying homage to the game and keeping true to his Hip-Hop roots, The 16th Bar Legacy is a play on words of the number of bars he tends to leave on every verse.
The tour will launch on the 29th of April 2023 at the popular night club, Hurricane in Katlehong with the final show set to live on the12th of August 2023, in Ekurhuleni where the superstar will celebrate his legacy and untainted stain in local music.
The final show will be held at Carnival City where over 5000 fans and family of the star will once again experience why Kwesta is the King of African Rap.
Ticket sales start from R250 and can be purchased at Computicket.
