MTV Base is back with another hip and happening special on ‘MTV Base’s Hottest MCs’ where the host serves as a mediator for the panel of six hip-hop industry judges whose criteria for the Hottest MCs list includes the MC’s impact, bars and lyrics, sales, buzz, and x-factor.
On today’s episode, the panellists managed to get fans riled up with their debates and subjective opinions. However, one trending topic that caused an uproar on social media is the decision to rank one of SA’s endowed rappers, A-Reece as number 6 on the list. Amongst many strong disagreements expressed by fans for some of the panellists’ ‘triggering’ opinions and “biased” criticism, many agreed to find the placement for A-Reece “disrespectful”.
