Sportscene Put Me On has become one of the most popular events in the South African youth culture. The competition saw over 5 000 entries in 2021, all looking to stand a chance to win career changing opportunities. Last year the competition was so tight that two artists, namely Holy Alpha and Priddy Prince, were crowned as the winners. As part of their prize, they each spent time with hip hop super-producer Zoocci Coke Dope and received much welcomed mentoring from him.
Entries for the fifth edition of Sportscene’s Put Me On (PMO) music competition, powered by Puma South Africa, are now open. Entries close on Sunday, 21 August 2022.

Artists interested in entering PMO 2022 will need to submit their details and music on the Sportscene Studio website. The music is then judged by a panel of experts who will select the Top 30 finalists. Depending on their location, these artists will then perform in live roadshows, either at Sportscene Canal Walk, Cape Town or Sandton City, Johannesburg. After the live performances there will be a voting day open to the public to vote for their Top 5. The winner of #PutMeOn2022 stands a chance to win R30 000 in cash, R50 000 in Puma merchandise and a professionally produced single and music video, just to name a few.
Sportscene and Puma South Africa have played a huge role in the development of the country’s young artistic talents by constantly seeking to create new avenues for emerging musicians. Other notable artists who have gone on to have successful music careers include Lucasraps, Trusted SLK, alongside Costa Titch, Kash CPT and Indigo Stella. Put Me On 2022 is set to be the biggest edition yet with both brands looking to out-do what they have done in the past years.
