With well over two decades in the music industry legendary South African Hip-Hop group, Skwatta Kamp celebrate the 20 year anniversary for their groundbreaking Khut En Joyn album which won them the first ever official Hip Hop award for an album at the SAMA's in 2003. That milestone alone did wonders in terms of putting South African Hip-Hop in the commercial space and went on to inspire many more acts to enter and be accepted in the space.
The group sat down with Spotify to talk about the experience of working on the project and discuss what's next for Skwatta Kamp.
On the 18th of February, the group released another single from their upcoming album, In The Name Of Love which was accompanied by a music video where Skwatta paid homage to fellow collaborators and industry peers who were apart of the movement back then and those that have built from their foundation. The project is set to drop in July and we cannot wait to hear what the legacy group has in store for us: https://go.slikouronlife.co.za/SkwattaKamp
