It's not hard to believe that it's a great time for women in hip hop, especially when this statement comes from one of the most prominent emcees in the game, Gigi Lamayne. Her moves alone have proved her to be fearless and as her journey continues, we're in the forefront with our fists in the air and heads ready to bump.
With the norm to release new music on her birth month, Gigi makes sure she does not leaves her fans hanging this year as she sticks to regular programming. Unveiling her upcoming EP's artwork, release date, and track-list, "Job Woods" is inspired by the book of Job in the bible and Tiger Woods, the golfer. On the real, Woods inspired a whole lot of us, it will be interesting to hear how Gigi works around the EP's name on the music in it. Judging by the track names only, they possess a sense of power and royalty.
The EP features a variety of emcees, from YoungstaCPT to F-eezy, which raises anticipation to the sound direction Gigi is taking on this. Her single, "Bozza" released in December not only had Gigi declaring her independence but also gave us a taste of what to expect. This includes the King Monada featured single "Fufa," whose views are impressive on YouTube. What a time to be a woman in hip hop right? The EP drops on the 26th of July. Keep it locked!
