@djkhaled's #FATHEROFASAHD Will Feature @NipseyHussle

By @MisaNarrates on 05/16/2019 in News

After the death of any musician, there is a faction of people who pride themselves in having known their music before they passed away. The same happened after the murder of Nipsey Hussle, albeit the community of people that try to shame "newer" fans did not get very far with their commentary.

The fact of the matter is that people encounter an artist at the time when it makes sense in the greater scheme of their own lives. For instance, Nina Simone has been gone for years, but there is a generation of R&B and Blues lovers born in the late 90s who identify with the American singer in 2019. The same may be the case for Nipsey Hussle. This is especially more likely now that DJ Khaled has announced a collaboration with the late rapper today.

In a post on social media, Khaled shared that the two had met days before his untimely demise. The two music men came together in music and with the permission of Nipsey's family, Khaled wants to share the experience with the world on Father Of Asahd. Khaled's album drops on May 17, and while this may be one of the last few "fresh" drops the world will get from Nipsey Hussle, the man's message lives on, "The Marathon Continues."
