uSomdanger, Robin Thirdfloor, is on his positive light work as he sets to drop his mixtape titled Zithande this Friday, 1st February 2019. Robin has dropped the tracklist for the 12 track project which houses his signature electro-hop sound. How do you even describe his bounce actually? I don't think there is an existing name for his unique sound, it has all the makings of classic kwaito, mixed with digital maskandi notes and a very clear pop feel. One thing's for sure though, it's all self pride and that's my favourite thing about him. Robin explores concepts of the obsession our current generation has with social media and all that comes with existing in these cyber realms. Listening to the project - yes, I am listening to it as I write - you get a taste of his authenticity as he deliberately ingrains themes of self love by being free in himself and his realities. Having given us "Ayashisa Amateku," you can catch a glimpse of the feel he's bringing on the project although there's much more that he unpacks as the tracklist rolls on. Have a look at some of the images derived from the making of this piece of sonic art and wait on the drop:
