The storm is almost at bay as Meek Mill celebrates his freedom after being released from prison yesterday to which he had a lot of gratitude to share with his first post out. During his time in prison, hip hop has gathered around to show him love and support by championing the #freemeekmill campaign through adorning the t-shirts, as well as dedicating messages to him on social media and in their music videos.
Although in his post he mentions that he still needs to "overturn the conviction," it's good to see him take a break from the frustration of being locked up wrongfully or owed to biases that counted against him. I know the fans are already looking for to that, "I'm back" music but let's give him some space to get his bearings again.
In more exciting news, immediately after being released Meek flew to the Wells Fargo Center where his home team the Philadelphia 76ers were playing against Miami Heat and he got to ring the game's ceremonial bell. AUW! I feel happy about all this.
