Following the official screening of Marvel Studio's Black Panther film directed by Ryan Coogler, Top Dawg Entertainment announced an album inspired by the movie with some music from the film as well. But there's more, not only does the tracklist feature most, if not all, of the label's artists including Kendrick Lamar and SZA, it also features some South African artists.

Babes Wodumo, Saudi, Sjava, and Yugen Blakrok got an opportunity to feature on the project in different tracks with the Top Dawg signees. This not only proves the impact African music has had on the rest of the world but it also shows that our artists are of international standard. The Black Panther film is already out in cinemas but the album is only set to release on the 9th of February. Like Khuli Chana said, "Africa is not a jungle, I think it's time that we made them listen." It's only the beginning.
