Asked why Durban rappers seem to have that magical touch, Usimamane attributed it to sauce and made the comparison between Durban’s Hip-Hop scene and ATL (Atlanta), the city that’s been running Hip-Hop in the US since the mid-2000s.
“We slimes,” Usimamane said after the filming of his Red Bull 64 Bars Freestyle. “Sauce is when you not doing too much. I usually say Durban is the new ATL because every new upcoming ATL rapper be like getting the bars and everything and when you pay attention, he’s really good like that.
