A funky Friday for Funk Series lovers as The Real Groovinhos duo, Shakes & Les drop their highly anticipated extended play, 'Funk Series'.
Following the momentum of previous hit songs ‘Thula Mabota’ & lead single ‘Funk 55’ The Real Groovinhos have proved to be a forced to be reckoned with.
‘Funk 2 Jive’ the intro song to the album is drum filled with no vocalists needed to enjoy the vibe. This carries onto the second song ‘Funk Dala’. The big features emerge on third song ‘Funk 100’ where Pretoria Avengers Focalistic, Ch’cco & Pabi Cooper carry the vibe producing momentum to the fourth song. Kele Mckaay! Leemckrazy does not disappoint on ‘Funk 99’ making his signature sound clear on the whole song. Shakes & Les continue with ‘Funk 66’ with no vocalists present and wrap the tape with lead single and one of the biggest songs right now ‘Funk 55’.
During an interview the duo mentioned making the music speak for itself, they do not have to do the talking.
