Congolese, 19 year old tri-lingual Afro-Pop artist, Highlyy who shot into the limelight with her debut single 'Solider', has now released her fourth single, ‘Higher (C’est La Vie)’.
The Amapiano inspired ‘Higher (C’est La Vie)’ is produced by Shae Jacobs (BTS, Spiderverse soundtrack, Teyana Taylor) and sees the young vocalist singing in English, French and Pidgin (Yoruba).
It’s a feel-good song about believing in yourself, but also a wider nod to Highlyy’s inimitable positivity and addictive happiness. A motivational and uplifting track, Highlyy reminds herself and girls around the world that no one can take their shine.
‘Higher (C'est La Vie)’ is the first instalment from Highlyy’s forthcoming debut EP tagged ‘+243,’ slated for a November release.
The EP will see features from JayO, RSKO and Uncle Waffles.
Speaking on the single, Highlyy states: “I am so excited for everyone to hear “Higher” and also for my 1st EP to FINALLY be out! It feels so surreal – I’m actually living my dreams!”
