South African rapper, producer and qualified Sound Engineer, Tasha HendrixX is back with a single titled ’Toxic Love’ from her upcoming debut album ‘BlackD Out’.
With her debut album ‘BlackD Out’ scheduled for release on October 27, Tasha has blessed the world with a single from her work of art that touches on a side of her personal life not many were aware of.
‘Toxic Love’ reaches into the wounds of a broken girl who once thought that the toxicity of an
abusive relationship meant real love.
This all stems back to Tasha witnessing abuse in her childhood at home, but because her father changed and her parents are still happily married, she believed she too could stay in such a
relationship and make it work.
When listening to ‘Toxic Love’, one can expect to get a mental picture being painted by the way Tasha expresses herself vulnerably through her poetic choice of words with her heart laid out on a soulful, Hip-Hop styled beat.
The song takes us through the pain, trauma, broken self esteem and lyrical descriptions of what Tasha went through while being in the space she was in at the time it all took place.
At the end of the song, we get a slight look into Tasha’s close relationship with her dad as he speaks on abuse and how he feels he contributed to her experiencing it in her life.
