It’s been a year since South African DJ and music producer, Mörda, rebranded into a solo artist and the release of his debut album, ‘Asante’.
To celebrate the success of his previous album and to show gratitude fans, the producer, released new music last Friday, September 8.
The new single is titled, 'Burning Bush' featuring the Maskandi artist, Ihashi Elimhlophe and Thakzin.
'Burning Bush' went live at midnight to celebrate his daughter’s birthday, Asante.
Asante is also the inspiration behind his latest projects; hence they were named after her. The release of this new single, is a dawn of a new era, as this new single will also be the first single taken from 'Asante II'.
“The name of my new single is titled, Burning Bush and is a sound continuation of what my fans and family got to experience on Asante. Anyone who knows me, knows that I am obsessed with taking people on a journey when listening to my music and on this new album they should expect that and more” expressed an excited Mörda.”
Mörda’s new album, Asante II, will hit the shelves on September 29, and will host features including, iHashi Elimhlophe, Thakzin, Brenden Praise, DJ Zinhle, Mhaw Keys and long-time collaborator and friend, Dr Moruti.
“Like I said, sonically my upcoming album is continuation of the hard work we put in when we created Asante, I worked with people who contributed on the previous album such as Brenden Praise and Thakzin. But will also be introducing fans to their favourite artist in a light they have never seen them before” Mörda said.
