Tyson Sybateli has dropped his eagerly awaited mixtape, ‘Present’, hosted by The Sobering. The 8-track project comprises contributions from the likes of Thato Saul, Priddy Ugly, Nanette, Ben September, Mochen, Landrose and Tron Pyre.
According to Tyson, the mixtape is about him not being present enough in the past year and finally having the time to focus and go all in with his music.
“Stemming from last year I have had no time with all my relationships and being present enough and that’s what this entire project is about really. Admitting that and trying to work on that, that’s why I love the opportunity that Sony has given me because now I can give 24/7 of my time into this career that I have”, he stated.
Tyson Sybateli revealed that it was important for The Sobering to host his mixtape because he believes that people who are influential in the media and culture of today have podcasts unlike in the past when DJs were the ones responsible for guiding emerging artists and putting people on.
“Now we’re in the era where people who are super strong in the media and the culture have podcasts and the podcasts guide and dictate certain pop-culture topics. They lead where the conversations heads.”
Tyson revealed two lead singles, ‘It Worked’ and ‘No Comment’ featuring Thato Saul ahead of the mixtape.
