PatricKxxLee has unveiled his highly anticipated project, ‘Room 37’. The 14-track body of work includes contributions from Blxckie, Sjava, KindlyNxsh, KashCPT, Scumie and Baby Daiz amongst others.
According to PatricKxxLee, the project was inspired by American science fiction horror drama television series , 'Stranger Things'. He explores the themes of love, lust, desire and toxicity.
‘Room 37’ sees PatricKxxLee showcase his versatility by experimenting with sounds he hasn’t used before such as the Afrofusion single, ‘Last Call’ which serves as the centrepiece of the project.
When describing the project, at the listening session last night, PatricKxxLee explained that ‘Room 37’ is an integration of two worlds.
“I wanted to find a balance between melancholy and nostalgia and bridge the gap between both my worlds,” he said.
He went on to say that ‘Room 37’ is a testament to his growth.
“Since the creation of ‘Diary Of An Arsonist’ and ‘Nowhere Child’, I have evolved and become true to the journey of my life and accepting of the way I think. This project is part of the process of reaching a new level of raw,”
PatricKxxLee announced ‘Room 37’ last month by releasing the lead single, ‘4R’ which he followed up with ‘Last Call’ featuring Sjava and KindlyNxsh. The project was executively produced by Kindly Nxsh.
