Nyota Parker and frequent collaborator, Cape Town Hip-Hop veteran, Uno July’s latest song is emotive and is based on vulnerability. It’s a song where the artists speak to people close to them, letting them know they are their safe space and that they can share what’s on their mind with them.
The song is mellow; the beat is stripped down, contains no drums but an electronic bassline, Rhodes keys and synths, the work of producers Tumi Matlala, Lord Keys and Uno July himself.
The visuals are minimalistic, showing the artists performing against a white backdrop, making sure the emotion is conveyed properly.
