South African Hip-Hop has grown into a multi-million rand industry. But one element of Hip-Hop that hasn’t been explored enough is battle rap. Scrambles For Money, which was quite big during the early 2010s, will go down in history as the most professionally run battle league in the game.
The 2020s seem to be upon yet another exciting battle league as four of Pretoria’s finest lyricists A-Reece, Jay Jody, Blaklez and N’Veigh launch Rap Battles Association.
