@Kashcpt Is Taking The 'Power' In His Latest Freestyle

Last week, KashCPT announced new music that we should be expecting from the Cape Town-born rapper soon. In the meantime, KashCPT gave fans what he calls "a lil throwaway" by dropping a powerful, unfiltered freestyle video on his Instagram, titled 'POWER (FREE$TYLE)'.

“The world is still black & white”, he captioned.

In this freestyle, KashCPT captures attention with his opening line, "I'm brown and I'm spitting on every colour", before delving into political and racial affairs.

He goes on to call out the government for constantly being deceptive as they’re the "people that's making the power” and addresses the corruption in the country. He touches on historical issues of race that are still evident in today's society as he expresses, "They're showing no love and it's based on my colour", "You're white then you're better and God made you better, the rest of us projects... ". KashCPT also highlights "money being the reason people are chasing the power" and concludes with a powerful statement which he repeats throughout the freestyle as he firmly states, "Ain't waiting for power, I'm taking the power."

Last year, KashCPT dropped his latest project, 'Cape Town Radio 2', a sequel to his debut mixtape, 2020's 'Cape Town Radio'. He delivered his last single in November 2022 titled 'Stressin Me For'. Fans look forward to KashCPT's first offering of the year, and some wish it was this freestyle as supporters commented:
