By @AtlehangMoloi on 02/07/2023 in Projects You Should Hear

Today, Donald celebrates his 38th birthday by dropping his new body of work, which is eponymously titled after his late father, 'TIKI'.

The singer took to socials to announce the official release of his 5-song EP, and captioned a heartfelt, emotional message which is written in letter style format from Donny to his father. He shares that the project is a gift to his father, who had passed away before Donald was born.

In the message, he commends his father's good attributes by stating, "Here’s the release of my new EP, I named it after you Papa, the world will now know your name and how great of a man you were."

Furthermore, he shared how honoured he feels that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree according to his aunts, and expressed gratitude to his father for the impact he made on him and his siblings.

"Bo Rakgadi always told me that I’m a reflection of you, in more ways than one, you have no idea how that makes me feel, I feel like a man now more than ever before. You’ve made such a strong impact in all of us as your kids, Rorisang, Katlego, Mongo, Staka and I. We really miss you. We love you."
