Dropped at the beginning of 2022, Lord Script’s OkMalumKoolKat and MusiholiQ-assisted ‘Shibilika’ now has a remix that features more Durban stars; Nasty C, Blxckie and Audiomarc.
Below, Lord Script details the process of putting the remix together, which he describes as “exciting and challenging”.
How long did it take to put the remix together?
It took approximately two to three months including the mixing and mastering and because of waiting for verses from other brothers.
Who has your favourite verse in the remix?
It’s Nasty C. His verse, is not what he usually does; he incorporates a lot of vernac that he doesn’t usually do in that amount of ways. It was a surprise.
You last dropped a project in 2020. When should fans expect a new project from you?
Yes, I last dropped ‘Monotheism’ in 2020. I’m dropping my next project, ‘King of The South, Volume 2’ which is my third project next year February. I already dropped the first one featuring the likes of Nasty C, Witness The Funk, Celestial Mic, and some more of my brothers from Durban.
What else can you share about the experience of putting the remix together?
It was a lot of fun. I didn’t expect everything that happened on the song ‘cause I know how my brothers make music. The flexibility between the niggas in the song created such a dope experience. Even the running around, having to fetch verses, – ‘cause Blxckie’s verse, I had to go fetch it at his place, I had to go fetch MusiholiQ’s verse… so, that experience was exciting and challenging as well.
