Junior Taurus has blessed us with a project that I would consider musically ahead as the 6 track EP showcases various aspects of 'Love' and 'Life'. I first heard the EP a week ago and I had to listen to it over again as the sound is so different. I know I am late with the reporting of this project but for as long as the music is still online it still has purpose and touches many.
You are first welcomed by a single titled 'Hamba Bekhile' which sounds like a farewell single as from my understanding the vocalist is speaking to someone they know and the don't want them to be stuck in one position so they should go ahead and move on as this life thing is not easy. This is then followed by a single titled 'Ndzakulibala' of which speaks on forgetting about someone that caused an immense of pain for them within their relationship.
The project is well layered when it comes to storytelling as each story is backed up by a very easy to listen beat with heavy log drums that can either have you dancing or deep in your thoughts. My favourite single from this timeless project is 'Umfazi' as the single touches me spiritually from an instrumental perspective as the vocals just drive the beat even further. This song is ahead of the house and dance genre as each note is very much relative to the story being told by the vocalist.
This is a must check out project as this is a very unique body of work. It is without a doubt true when they say music does age well with time.
