Following her successful debut EP, A Side Of Me, having been voted as the best female artist in East Africa and won the best RnB song ‘Ex’ at the AFRIMAs Nikita Kering’ is at it again as the multitalented singer, songwriter is back with another EP, The Other Side. The highly anticipated release follows the announcement of the artist signing with Universal Music and the project comes as her first offering to the label.
Having achieved so much in her career thus far, the young talent seeks to break further into the African market as she bases her latest release more into the Sub-Saharan Africa region than just her home country Kenya. With just about 150K Spotify monthly listeners and more than 160K YouTube subscribers, Nikita Kering’ is no stranger to the ears of many Africans however with her new EP, there seems to be more potential to get more ears and eyes locked into her soothing vocals.
The Other Side EP is a continuation of "A Side Of Me" as it describes specific facets of her actual life. She writes about life's ups and downs in a way that many people can relate to through this project. On this EP, she lets go and shows vulnerability in order to reveal more of who she is to the listener. Nikita Kering’ is not new to South African ears as she has previously released two singles leading up to the release of the EP, Oh Yah & Unrelatable.
