One of the brightest talents in the budding R&B scene right now, Maarly, has just dropped her first release for the year titled "High Taste in Fashion". The song sees her go back to a more melancholic sound that we're more accustomed to from her. The production is stripped bare and led by keys, and it gives Maarly's melodies a chance to shine through.
"I wanted to channel the same message as Riky Rick's 'Sidlukotini,' but in a Maarly way. I wanted to give that message a more feminine feel it... a more new age feel to it. I wanted to make the song short so that the people could feel the melodies on the song. I wanted people to pay attention to everything that is happening in the song."
