You Need To Hear @GinaJeanz 'Lucid Theory' Album

By @Lesiba on 12/15/2021 in Projects You Should Hear

Gina Jeanz is someone I only very recently started listening to and this album serves as my introduction to her music. This year I started getting my feet wet with Electronic and Dance music and throughout the course of the year I have become a casual fan but 'Lucid Theory' is the nail in the coffin for me. I am firmly a fan of Electronic music. I used to think that all Electronic was generally the same and I didn't really think there was a difference from one DJ to the next but someone like Gina Jeanz reminds me that my assumptions were firmly off the mark. 'Lucid Theory' is a mix of different sounds and influences. Each song on the album caters to the area of strength of the featured artist. 'Sun Spot' with Sio has a bit of a House feel to it whereas 'Can't Pretend' has the soul element that Moonga K is known for. My personal favourite on the album is 'We Move' with AliThatDude because anyone that knows me knows that I love a song that can get my shoulders moving. 'Lucid Theory' represents what I love and appreciate about the genre. It doesn't have the rigid rules that can be seen in other genres. It's all about good music.
