Rising Nigerian Talent @solis4evr Drops Debut EP 'Stairway To Heaven'

I've been slowly getting into the alte scene and I stay glued to the Spotify alte cruise playlist to listen to the hottest talents from around Africa and when I heard 'Abeg' by SOLIS I knew I was onto something special. SOLIS has a pretty unique sound and I love the fact that she doesn't live in the confines of what an African artist is 'supposed' to sound like. This EP is mostly stripped down to a few elements and it gives the EP a deeply emotive feel. I think her angelic vocals really suit the production as it ties together the mood of the EP. I love how the aesthetic of the EP comes together really well as we listen to her navigate love and the broad spectrum of emotions that come with it. The features she called on for the EP provided a nice contrast in tempo to her vocals. I don't think I can pick one standout feature because they stuck to the script in terms of the delivery and subject matter of 'Stairway To Heaven'. SOLIS is definitely someone I'll be keeping my mind on going forward.
