Siiisa is another blessing from the Apple Music algorithm. I'm always excited to listen to up-and-coming alternative artists because I feel like there is so much talent in the genre and Siiisa is one of those artists. The first thing that stood out to me in Siiisa's music was her delivery. She has a great voice but she makes a concerted effort to come up with some really nice melodies throughout the EP. Sometimes she manages to use words that are a mouthful and make them fit into her flow. I think the best example of this is on 'Sela'amanzi'ube'nice'. Good singers often fall into the trap of 'over singing' but Siiisa really impressed me with that aspect of her music. Siiisa has a good understanding of how to use her voice and she shows character by playing with her cadences to match the mood of each song and that's something a lot of artists struggle with. I can feel the different emotions on the EP through her voice. In a generation where artists sound the same whether they're happy or sad, Siiisa B.B.E. is refreshing.
