@juuce_sa and @wolffisdead Team Up To Drop Their Joint EP Titled 'Blvck'

By @Lesiba on 10/04/2021 in Projects You Should Hear

Wolffisdead is someone I have been following for some time now but I'm not all too familiar with Juuce. Naturally, I was skeptical to see how this joint EP would turn but at the same time, I was excited to see what the pair could produce seeing as they are both part of TRANSPARENT MUSIC. The 5 track EP has a consistent dark bass-heavy sound. When I listen to this sort of music, I offer absolutely no margin for error because I'm so familiar with the sound. With so many young artists wanting to make trap, it's easy to believe the false narrative that the sub-genre is the lowest hanging fruit in Hip Hop. Juuce and Wolffisdead's 'Blvck' EP is one of the few trap projects that I have truly enjoyed in a long time. They managed to stay in the sweet spot of what works well for them. Neither of them ever sound out of place on the EP and every single line in the EP has the perfect melody to match the production. The fact that I resonate with what they're saying in the EP was just icing on the cake. With Juuce and Wolffisdead being in their bag, I wondered if they were going to outshine the featured artists on the EP, but Brendon Taylor and Don Calya brought welcomed additions to their respective songs. Stream 'Blvck' below.
