Born and raised on the south west of Houston, Texas, Jordan Ace has been writing raps since the age of 8 and made his first beat at the age of 16 and by the age of 26 he released his first musical material. Jordan's music speaks to the circumstances that impacted him and lead to him taking a break from music to where he is now. Closer to God was one of the last song Jordan made while working on his upcoming full length project titled, "Elements of a WNA: Air Miles". 'It just goes with the theme of being in the mood of being up and away from everybody and everything, flying free in isolation and enjoying it. Just doing you, not worried about nobody else, especially people that don't have their own lives together. That's why the hook repeated "closer to God, not closer to y'all.' - says Jordan.
