The Northern Cape Comes Together To Give Us The Lighters Up EP Hosted By @MindFlowSA & @WoonStudios

By @tabloydza on 09/14/2021 in Projects You Should Hear

MindFlow is one of the prominent recording labels and management companies from the Northern Cape founded in 2019, based in Kimberley. Woon Studios is  a South African music corporation and full service entertainment company, since its founding in 2019 it has been a prominent entertainment company in the Northern Cape. Early this year Mind flow and Woon Studios launched a booking package campaign to book any 4 artists on their roasters which includes Tshidamagg, Rae Blue, Mvxo53, and B2synth, Thatboyzeze, Brandon Heat, and Queezey T. The artist were booked at the Northern Cape Creative's Week and performed alongside the Nkalakatha hitmaker, Costa Titch and Lucile Slade.

In the background, the artists were collectively working for the past 5 months on the Lighters Up EP. The collaboration itself is the first of its kind from the Northern Cape music industry and inclusive to other artists from in and around Kimberley.  Following the release of the second single from the project a #LightersUpChallange was launched which had various artists around Kimberley recording videos and songs of themselves on the Lighters Up EP beats.

This lead to the project being a collaborative one to push Northern Cape artists work and inspire growth in the music scene in the area. The Lighters Up EP is finally out and it features B2synth, Tshidamagg, Mvxo53, Thatboyzeze, Blue Rae, Queezey T. The music was  produced by THEONLYJIMMY, Varnie, ItsGodGrace and Pharvoh.
