I am familiar with Monelle from her album 'In Loathing Memory' but Vance Roday is someone new to me. From the beginning, I was immediately captured by Vance Roday's vocals which provide a nice contrast to Monelle's voice. 'After You' is a smooth blend of R&B and has a sort of locomotive groove to it. The song sees Vance Roday and Monelle go back forth, rather melodically, about contemplating reaching out to the other party even though the writing is on the wall for their relationship. I think this line sums up the overall mood of the song and I quote, "If these could talk would they tell me to go after you after witnessing what we been through?". Stream 'After You' below.
