Every couple of years there is a crop of artists that have a heavy presence on SoundCloud and you never know which one will make 'the leap' in their career. I'm so excited about the next crop that is coming of age because they have such a different take on alternative Hip Hop and R&B. allhail444 is one of those artists I'd like to bring to your attention. 'a hive mind' is something between boom-bap rap and R&B. Listening to the song feels like you're kind of in a trance and it has its own wandering feel. I like how everything was mixed together. The rhythm of the song feels slightly off but I think that's what makes the song enjoyable. I love the direction that was chosen for the vocals for the song. The production is really encapsulating so the song didn't need anything over the top. I think him going in any other direction other than the one he took would feel like he is fighting the beat rather than floating on it.
