Durban bred rapper, Xenlaii is back to better programming with the release of Wild Coast EP after a destabilizing 2020 and strenuous COVID battle. The Wild Coast EP is set to bridges the gap between Xenlaii's debut EP, SURF : AM and the soon to be released SURF : PM.
Sporting three tracks, the Wild Coast EP “is a protest to the loss of the festive season and a cry to be outside again.” Featured on this project is Xenlaii’s long-time creative collaborator and fellow KZN native, SimmySimmyNya. With a fresh approach on popular trap genre and a seamless flow, Xenlaii opens the project with Wild Coast which is the lead single from the EP and we hear some West Coast Hip-hop and Kwaito infused melodies on the 'Ukuba-Happy' featuring SimmySimmyNya, he then proceeds to close it up beautifully with 'High Places', something we can all relate to as we have all seen the damage the pandemic has had on people's mental and physical health but gratitude for an opportunity to see another day and an opportunity to chase our dreams, is Xenlaii's closing message.
