Alpha Royce’s music can be described as a diverse mix of afro pop and global sounds, resulting in an authentic and eccentric sound that bridges the concept of local and international sonics. The Lovecore EP is an afro pop body of work that was created with the intention to resonate deeply with those who understand themes of love, says Alpha Royce.
The project consists of 4 melodic tracks composed by producer duo Gentlemen Musiq, and has appearances from artist such as Dibi on 'Medicine', Ruby Gold on 'Lost Your Mind'. The 4 songs on the EP explore the subjects of lust, heartbreak, and desire using ambient and catchy afro soundscapes that convey the idea of losing yourself in all aspects of love — no matter how bitter or sweet. Lyrically, Alpha Royce touches on the concept of giving your all to someone, finding your strength after getting lost in love, and unapologetically going after what your heart wants.
This project is something we highly recommend you check out and hopefully it inspires you to continue or start loving unapologetically;
