In case you missed it, two weeks ago El Nino from Driemanskap released a free thought-provoking song called titled "Tshomi Yam". The renowned wordsmith has sharpened his “Xhosa” driven lyrics and joined forces with ETV's Scandal actor Ayanda Daweti who plays Chumani better known by his stage name as Tuckshop Bafanaz. Tshomi Yam addresses the social dilemma facing most South Africans and which include alcohol abuse, peer pressure and reckless behaviour.
The Xhosa-flavoured song has many dynamic types of shading, and is sprinkled with sustained lines, weaving counter lines, coupled with a thick, resonant delivery.
This is a song you should stream and download!
