Dark times/Dark Lane is a mixtape put together by the Somo Producer summer wav which also go by the name “Mist.” A group of artist representing the South Side! The concept of the tape originates from the title itself Dark times//Dark lane which is a Series of struggles, delemas and flaws artists (rappers) commonly go through as well as what keeps them motivated and ambitious.
Dark times symbolizes the flaws and Dark lanes the path chose to becoming successful, and just like every other well worked for achievement the road to that point isn’t all sunshine, fun and games hence the title “Dark lane.” When listening to the tape you get to hear the transition from the one part of the artists life to the second, split into 2 with 12 series. The story that is being painted in this tape is something to be very enthusiastic about as well as the production. A lot of effort was put into this project in hopes of getting the break through and showing the world what Somo is really about.
“Somethings will never come easy, dark times showed us that anything is possible. Nothing will ever come to you without a price so why not say fuck it, hustle hard and tell god to pay it.” - Somo
