The importance of telling real stories is vital, especially when it affects you directly. Using music as a medium, Jimmy Wiz speaks on gender-based violence which has taken the country and the world by storm.

"A Woman Scorned is derived from real life events and a personal experience. Jimmy Wiz wrote this song 2 years ago after the tragic event of the young lady Karabo Mokoena, who was murdered by her boyfriend. That incident triggered a disturbing memory he witnessed as a teenager of his uncle physically abusing his aunt and attempting to shoot her and how he physically had to stop his uncle from hurting his aunt any further." Jimmy Wiz went into detail with the incident he had witnessed over an interview with Slikour as they unpacked his debut album Accordin' To Jim In Da Stu. On the brand new Motion Billy visuals, Jimmy Wiz further expands on "A Woman Scorned" as dedicates the song to all they women that have lost their lives in the hands of a man.
