@Ranks_Atm, @Sims_atm, & @JustG_ATM Pay Homage TO #ATM With #3WayMixtape

By @MisaNarrates on 08/30/2019 in Projects You Should Hear

In ATM we trust, particularly fans of the sound behind artists like Emtee, Sjava, and more. Now, Just G, Sims, and Ranks ATM have come together to offer their account of what the African Trap Movement/Music is like.

They open the album with, "Where Would I Be," featuring none other than Emtee. Just G explains this move by describing the "Roll Up" rapper as "gang, that's family, that's ATM, that's the movement." Ranks went on to explain that Emtee started the African Trap Movement, as such it was imperative that he appears on the record. Similarly, another originator of ATM, being Saudi, featured on the record, and his presence carried the same importance and values.

Ranks, Just G, and Sims met in Ruff ATM's studio back in 2009. While ATM existed before then, it was important to them to go at producing work together from when they met. “[3 Way] came from the heart. It came from our souls. Things we’ve seen, things we do. It’s real. It’s authentic. That’s why it’s ATM," they believe.

The project is solid, giving listeners a comprehensive musical experiencing; from upbeat to slower tempos, rhythm and poetry to the fun adlib or two. Enjoy their latest musical offering, 3 Way, and let us know what you think!
