@ScoobyNero Releases "Zanku Leg Work"

With regards to music and artistry in Africa, the mere suggestion that Afrobeats and/or Afropop are new genres would be a disservice to the musicians that have been entertaining the world for years. In the case of Scooby Nero's song "Zanku Leg Work," the track features a semi-low tempo beat, sporting two verses, a repeated two-line chorus, sans a hook. Often the hook is what makes a song most easy to remember and sing along, as we've seen with some of the biggest tracks in pop music. 

However, for Scooby Nero's "Zanku Leg Work," the chorus almost doubles as a hook in that it's short enough to remember and recite as a listener. Upon the first few listens, "Zanku Leg Work" bears an uncanny resemblance to the beat and lyrical flow of Skepta and Wizkid's "Energy." Not to be misunderstood, however, they do not bear overtly similar lyrics in the slightest, and there are differences between the two tracks.
