@prblmthewave Is Searching For His Soul In New EP

By @MisaNarrates on 03/28/2019 in Projects You Should Hear

"Little baby from the North, swear the bad b***** spoiled," PRBLM says in the opening track of his debut project, Searching For My Soul (EP). One almost expects for a project to start softly and build up towards more trap beats, but not this project. Nevertheless, the song never takes on a "loud" sonic element. As the project continues, track two takes on a more upbeat nature and PRBLM calls on CITIZEN to assist with "Shoot Thr33s." A consistent theme of the project is conversation around beautiful women, however this isn't abstract or new in any way either. What is interesting when listening to this project is that the hooks are catchy. If someone were to listen a couple of times, they would be able to sing along to the hooks.

CITIZEN is the only feature on this seven track EP, which speaks to PRBLM keeping himself as the focus of his EP. Sonically, this EP strikes as a good first offering. Lyrically, PRBLM presents interesting lyrics, at the same time the theme of women throughout the project can be construed as monotonous. With this in mind, listen to the project below, and let us know what you think!
