True to his word, Nasty C is rolling out three music videos for, his collaboration with Rowlene, "SMA." The second volume of the series arrived yesterday, featuring the adolescent couple he mentioned in his On The Ground sit down with Slikour. In this version, two students are seen in what starts as a loving relationship, albeit juvenile in its depiction. From ordering food together at a tuck shop to talking during their break time, the pair is cute. In between, shots of Rowlene singing her parts, visualised by her standing before a black backdrop and recorded at a close up, the emotional element of the video is not lost. With her hair longer and curly, indicating that this video was shot before she debuted her pixie cut, Rowlene is the only collaborator who appears in this version of the video. Fans will note that Nasty C does not feature anywhere in this version of the visuals.
About a minute into the music video, the cracks in the young couple's relationship become evident. Where the visuals for the first version were crisp, this version of the music video resembles an old film by way of some of the effects and Rowlene's scenes being shot in black and white. The next video should come out later today, but for now folks will have to judge which version they like best! Check out "SMA (Vol.2)" below!
