ShabZi Madallion is not a rapper that will ever mince his words for any reason and he has continued to prove this with his numerous music releases from as long as you can remember. Taking a break from his Lions Den series which he has been dropping episodes to daily most recently, he makes a stark point with his Lucky You Freestyle.
First of all, he asserts his position as someone who is overlooked and you can sense that this is directed at the South African Hip Hop Awards which is given away by his satirical depiction of the SAHHA trophy on his artwork. He flexes his stealthy flow on the upbeat instrumental as he raps about how he's Lyricist of the Year material yet that's not being considered. He goes on to embody Boity's Wuz Dat flow in his rhymes as he (presumably) plays on the odds of Boity getting nominated at the awards over him who has a bigger catalogue, and more bars to offer. I love that he put this all on wax without much of a raucous on any other platform, this is a true emcee. Let them with ears understand.
