We finally get to hear, and see, the much teased collaboration between Nasty C and Runtown for No Permission. After they gave us Said about a year ago, they linked up earlier this year to put down two tracks in the studio and this is one of them.
The music video finds the rappers "being boys" as they recite their lyrics to camera while positioned atop a shipment container, as well as rapping in front of a stripped down car. It's all about the angles and the editing on this video as Teekay (the director) clearly focuses on surrounding the fellas outside an abandoned house juxtaposing the frames with a bike racer raging through the streets. Gemini Major also makes a power cameo in the motion picture halfway through. Coming to the song, one would've easily thought that Runtown would go the afrobeat/dancehall route on the track but he flexes hard with the bars - almost as if he's alerting us that he never needed permission to do him at any given time. This is certainly a fire hip hop collaboration between this dynamic duo. They've done it again!
