The much talked about collaborative project between Future and Juice WRLD is finally here with the title track sampling the sounds on the album, somewhat. After we heard the upbeat Fine China leading up to the official drop today, we thought to pick at WRLD On Drugs to highlight something off the body of work.
I need to mention that I considered sharing Oxy with you as seeing Lil Wayne, who is a topic of conversation lately, on the track perked my ears up but Future unfortunately missed the target on that song. Anyway, WRLD On Drugs finds the tag team two stepping on the bouncy beat as they take turns on the hook and in the verses. They certainly do make for a dope combination as their voices and energy compliment each other really well. The less than 4 minuter is a slurry, mid-tempo, soft menacing piece that I feel plays on the idea of tripping on something in its sonic underbelly.
