ShabZi Madallion is preparing something special and just released an unexpected introspective project, Matters Of The Past, to try hold his supporters down for the duration of his preparation. Following his EP with Nicki Walker called Soul'd Out, ShabZi goes back in time to the issues he had to deal with and all the emotions he needed to experience which all contributed immensely to his growth - both as a person and as an artist. Memories Of The Past is an insight into how the rapper felt at different times in his life and what he did to overcome feelings of abandonment, misery, and anger.
There's never truly a right time to say or do something, especially if it could prove to be controversial or fatal. ShabZi mentions not being sure of the timing he chose to share his project but is ready to let go of the past to make way for a brighter future. The EP tackles an array of topics as ShabZi tries to navigate through all his frustrations but doesn't shy away from showing appreciation to those who've had his back from the beginning. From his heartwarming letter to his brother (Big Time's Intro) to the Ike and Tina Turner-sampled Working Together, ShabZi references some matters he's dealt with while also sharing some advice, as well as tackling the exasperations that came with Vuzu Hustle.
I take my hypothetical hat off to ShabZi Madallion for his consistent resilience and undying perseverance to achieve. Tap into his world and listen to his project below:
