ICYMI: @NandosSA New Fire Ad ft @KhuliChana , @AbsolutSA Jokingly Responds

By @Spokenpriestess on 09/04/2018 in Watch

The streets are literally on fire and Nando's has the basting. The question is, how hot do you like it?

In their latest commercial which was spotted online yesterday, they go all the way peri-peri on us in an impeccably executed piece of content as they shade a new style of commercial direction that mirrors the Absolut (One Source) aesthetic. The best part about it all is the fact that Khuli Chana is in the advert. Brilliant if you ask us!

Known for their spicy adverts and campaigns, Nando's new ad comically depicts what all those "super creative" approaches to brand films really translate to in the "real world" with the narration of one of SA's finest actors and comedians, Hamilton Dlamini. Fans have taken to social media to laugh along with Khuli, Nando's, and even Absolut as the ad is apparently a message to everyone out there creating carbon copy renditions of the work Khuli, Absolut, Native VML, and Egg Films have come to be known for through the multi-award winning One Source campaign. WE LOVE IT! With brands becoming more and more active on social media, only a select few have gone to the level of personalised interactivity by adopting Twitter's meme culture, along with incorporating authentically South African phrases in their communication. Nando's is one brand that has long mastered this art and Absolut joined the party when they hit up their golden man to jokingly ask about what's really going on. Someone grab the popcorn, or are we eating chicken strips for the show? The shots are on Khuli, HAUWENG!

A big shout out to the multi-award winning director Tebogo Malope for coming through with the SOURCE.
