After nearly 4 months since he mentioned this single, Junior De Rocka finally delivers his incredibly intoxicating AmaDimoni featuring Okmalumkoolkat and P.A.
The song is nothing like you'd expect from Junior, the fellas went all tribal trapstar on us. The sound is so haunting, yet energising. Produced by P.A and De Rocka, one can't hep but wonder what the conversation was when the beat was being briefed in. AmaDimoni is a perfect example of African trap with the ululations fleeting across the song while the 808s blast on, making way for synthetic (skin) drums here and there. The intricacy of this song is too bop worthy. Coming to the vocals and delivery on the song, P.A is the perfect candidate to handle the hook with his signature voice which we've heard in his impressive Emhlabeni EP as well as his covers. Malums on the other hand owns the song with his swaggy rhymes and super cool delivery as he has fun on this banging instrumental. We like how the ululation and drums fall in as soon as he starts rapping, almost as though a celebration of royalty breaks out when he starts talking. This joint goes in hard. Give it a listen and show love to gents for this spectacular work.
