Die Antwoord has just dropped a visual one can easily dub as spooky if you're not paying attention to the music while consuming the motion picture. Coming off a mild hiatus since dropping their album Mount Ninji And Da Nice Time Kid in 2016, they track back to bring Alien to life with this new music video.
The creepy visual opens with a flying "creepy-crawly" that lights up like a firefly and although we don't know it at first, that fly is some sort of carrier of transformation. We see Yolandi play an outcast alien who goes around town under a cloud of loneliness and alienation. She eventually follows the fly to a run down warehouse where she eats it, only for it to transform her into a human by incubating her like a caterpillar. The sombre tone of the visual really draws you in as you listen to Yolandi sing about her weirdness since primary school, how people used to ridicule her, and overtime she has decided to embrace her uniqueness. This is for all the stikuit kids out there, you are special in your own way! Shout out to Ninja for the splendid direction of this video.
